How to Make a Ringtone on iPhone
On August 23, 2021 by Coleen LewisCreate your iPhone ringtone in one minute and set it up.
The sound of an incoming iPhone ringtone can be pretty annoying. Especially if you’re all about style and want to stand out from the crowd and not be distracted by your screen every time someone in the office calls. Unfortunately, iOS closes off the ability to quickly replace your ringtone with tunes you haven’t purchased from the iTunes Store. The Mac workarounds seem pretty outdated by now, because you just want to quickly install your ringtone in a minute, right on your iPhone and not have to worry about it.
Luckily, there’s an easy way via the built-in Garageband app that not everyone knows. We decided to write a short instruction on how to create a ringtone on your iPhone to make your life easier.
How to make a ringtone on your iPhone in a minute
- Download any song in .mp3 format.
- Open the Garageband app, then create a new track via “Audio Recorder.”
- Add the downloaded song, trim it. Save it to your songs.
- Click “Share” and select “Ringtone.”
Set your ringtone on your iPhone and surprise your friends with unusual sounds. You can even play a joke on someone you know by setting a funny sound for them, if they trust you with their iPhone, of course.
We hope that you have found this mini instruction useful.
